Rule one in hiking: always have an extra change of dry clothes. I learned this the hard way. I thought this hike to the villages would be only two days and I could just bring one pair of shorts and be fine. WRONG!! we started hiking to the first village. I looked up and saw that there were only a few clouds I didn't think twice about it. when we reached our second village I was tired but still it was sunny and nothing to worry about. we stopped and had some wonderful coconut water. after about 30 minutes into the hike it started to poor. like Pastor Chad said it was like buckets of water dumping on us. I knew this rain wasn't like the rain in the U.S.. Pastor Chad and a few of the pastors from the villages helped us up the mountain Every inch of me was wet. when we arrived at the last village I told Andrew holding the video camera "I will tell this story to my future kids when they ask me for money". I set my stuff down and walked down to bathe in my already wet shorts. Pastor Alan (Vineyard Christian Fellowship Davao ) offered me a dress like piece of clothing with no holes for the arms. I was have never been so excited to be offered clothes in my entire life. So here I am wearing a dress and it was quite an experience and I would not trade it for the world.
